Part Cooling Options
Introduction:
Blackbox currently officially supports the Dice V2 and E3D V6 ecosystem for use with it’s FDM tools. Any hot end that uses the M6x1.0 heater block threads will also mount directly with no modifications.
Part of the design intent with Blackbox was to have compact and lightweight tools. This led to the decision to have a single part cooling fan for all tools mounted to the X-carriage. We use a 30x10mm blower fan (here). Due to it’s small size, a highly efficient duct is necessary to make use of every bit of air possible. Let us know if you’ve designed your own duct you’d like to share!
